Villa Northcote Leura | Luxury Family Retreat

A villa you want to keep coming back :) Positive: We had a wonderful winter retreat at the villa. The ambience and vibe are just perfect for a family bonding. Hope to make a return.

Positive: The house was beautifully decorated and the bed rooms are big and nice. The kitchen was well equiped and very large. Negative: The house itself is lovely, but unfortunately the management was very disappointing. When we checked in, we found that the downstairs bedroom window was wide open, the door next to the dining area had been left unlocked, the upstairs bedroom lamp wasn't working because the light bulb had blown, the fireplace was out of order, and the water pressure was extremely low, making it difficult to get hot water. We contacted management, and they said they would send a plumber. Later, however, we were told there was nothing wrong with the water pressure. I believe someone from management should have come to the property to experience the issue firsthand rather than simply dismissing our concerns. The standard check-in time was 4:00 pm and check-out was 10:00 am, which is already a very short stay. When I initially asked about an early check-in 3:00pm, I was told it would cost $50 per hour. I've never encountered a 4:00 pm check-in before. Because the fireplace wasn't working, management later offered us a complimentary late check-out until 12:00 pm, which we appreciated and accepted. However, the cleaners arrived at 10:50 am, well before our agreed departure time, making us feel rushed. Overall, while the property is beautiful, the poor communication, lack of attention to maintenance issues, and disorganised management meant our experience was disappointing.

Lovely stay in a beautiful, spacious house with all the comforts of home. Positive: Loved our stay at this beautifully appointed house in the middle of Leura. The rooms were cosy and comfortable with underfloor heating and gorgeous furniture and decor. We enjoyed the garden and exploring the local streets, shops and National Park. Thanks again for a lovely stay! Negative: Found the dishwasher door a bit heavy and unstable.

fancy but maybe to fancy Positive: It was beautiful. Was very fancy. The hosts were easy to talk to via messaging in the app. Negative: We felt uncomfortable using the facilities due to the chance of not receiving deposit, we also found it was dark in rooms. the middle upstairs room only had light switch outside of the room and no lamp or light source in the room. Even though I messaged prior asking if the work truck would fit (never got a reply) the truck didn't fit so had to lug all luggage down the driveway and just hopped nothing was stolen off the tray.
